Selected for rich, red heartwood (contains less than 5% sapwood). Lighter and darker toned pieces are removed to create a uniform colour. Fine grained with some waving. Colour will darken with age.
Conservation Grade
Contains all of the natural coloration and characteristics of this species: including sound knots, streaks and color variations. An occasional hole of less than 1⁄2” in diameter may need to be filled.
