Composite™ LOCn'FLOAT™ - Formaldehyde-Free, FSC-Certified - This product is our favourite because it combines superior hardness, zero formaldehyde glues, FSC-certification, and a click locking system into one product.
The Composite plank is twice as hard as Oak. It is constructed with zero formaldehyde Scandinavian glues and protected by a German UV-cured, water-based, zero-solvent finish by Treffert™. Forest Stewardship Council certification means they have used environmentally and socially fair practices in growing and harvesting the bamboo. And the greatest part of it all is the 4-sided locking mechanism that holds this floor tightly together. The planks are made 100% solid bamboo. The locking system is cut directly into the 4 sides of a solid bamboo blank. This means there is no extra plywood or adhesives added. Only highly renewable bamboo grass stalks used to make this unique, dense floor.
This bamboo floor floats over our Sound Down™ recycled rubber acoustic and moisture retarding underlay. This is the simplest of installations on this super dense flooring.
The rich multi-hued brown tones of the Composite planks make this floor a must for condo living. Installed below grade in basements and over concrete.
